The Nevada Native Plant Society (NNPS) is a non-profit corporation organized solely for educational, scientific and charitable purposes for the stimulation of interest in and the developing of an appreciation for native Nevada plants and their preservation.



The Society is supported entirely by membership dues, gifts, and various fundraising activities. All interested in learning more about, conserving, growing, or just seeing and appreciating the 2800+ wild plant species of Nevada and the adjacent Great Basin, Mojave Desert, and eastern Sierra Nevada regions are encouraged to join and participate.

2023 NNPS calendar submissions now open

It is time to start work on the 2023 NNPS calendar. Each member may submit up to four photos for possible use in the calendar. Photos must not contain borders, decorations, watermarks, trademarks or other identifiable markings. Original photos must be at least 3300 wide and / or 2500 pixels tall to print well. Photographs for the calendar will be selected by a panel of board members. “Winning” photographers will be contacted by Emma Wynn after the selection process. Photo submission deadline August 21st.

The 11x8.5 landscape wall calendars will be printed on matte paper, the cost per calendar is $14. Calendars can be mailed to individuals, there will also be pick up points in Reno, Carson City and the Vegas area.
